The Strength of the Line in the Left Numeral “2”

Type IV
Type IV. The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is weak and often broken in Types IV, V and VA.
Type V
Type V. The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is weak and often broken in Types IV, V and VA.
Type VA
Type VA. The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is weak and often broken in Types IV, V and VA.
Type VI
Type VI. The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is strong and thick. This is quite apparent and is the distinguishing feature of Type VI stamps.
Type VII
Type VII. The line separating the base and the top of the numeral is complete but not nearly as strong as that of the Type VI stamp.
