The U.S. Postage Due Stamps of the 1959 Series Perf 11 x 10.5 – All denominations except the 11¢, 13¢ and 17¢ stamps were first issued on June 19, 1959. All of the stamps were issued in both shiny and dull gum varieties, with the dull gum stamps bringing a slight premium. The 7¢ stamp with dull gum brings a major premium. Denomination omitted errors are known on the 1¢, 3¢, 4¢, 5¢, 6¢, 7¢ and 8¢ stamps. These errors must be collected as a pair with one ordinary stamp with denomination and the other without. The 11¢, 13¢ and 17¢ stamps were issued on January 2, 1978. |
